About Mental Fulfillment and AWALA
Mental Fulfillment is developing AWALA, a voice-first artificial intelligence application for guided self-reflection, everyday wellbeing and personal agency.
We are in an early company and product phase. Alongside product development, initial partnerships and pilot plans, we now need a robust funding strategy that connects public funding, venture capital and the long-term financial development of Mental Fulfillment and AWALA.
The role
You will gradually take responsibility for our funding and finance structure. The initial focus is public funding programmes, capital raising and credible financial planning. Over time, you may help build the wider commercial and finance function.
This is a Germany-focused role because the work requires strong knowledge of German and, ideally, European funding programmes, financial requirements and professional networks.
What you will own
- Develop a realistic funding and financing strategy
- Research, evaluate and prioritise German and European funding programmes
- Coordinate and prepare funding applications, including financial plans, evidence and work packages
- Build a pipeline of business angels, impact investors and venture-capital firms
- Prepare pitch materials, financial models, the data room and due-diligence documentation
- Plan liquidity, budgets and scenarios, including runway and capital requirements
- Build suitable metrics, reporting and controlling structures
- Evaluate the business model, pricing, unit economics and scalability
- Coordinate with tax, accounting, legal and other qualified professionals
- Build the foundations of a professional finance function and capital structure
What we are looking for
- Experience in startup financing, corporate finance, controlling, funding advisory, venture capital or a comparable field
- Practical experience with funding applications and/or investor financing
- Strong financial modelling, liquidity planning and commercial evaluation skills
- Understanding of the German and preferably European funding landscape
- A structured, independent and implementation-oriented working style
- Very good German and English
- Interest in responsible artificial intelligence, mental wellbeing and social impact
The early-stage reality
Mental Fulfillment and AWALA are still being built. The product is in development and institutional funding has not yet been secured. The role is therefore intended to begin as a clearly scoped paid part-time or fractional mandate. Scope, compensation and possible long-term development will be agreed individually and transparently before work begins.
