Clarifying privacy requirements before personal-data testing
Mental Fulfillment/AWALA is at an early company-building and product stage. AWALA is being developed as a German-language, AI-assisted voice-coaching/wellbeing web app for adults. Its intended scope is self-reflection and inner clarity, without diagnosis, therapy or emergency care.
Before a test round involving personal conversational data, we want to clarify privacy requirements systematically. Sensitive disclosures need to be considered within the intended use. We are seeking suitable independent external support and, where appropriate, formal appointment after the requirements have been assessed.
Where we need your support
- Assessing whether formal appointment is required and providing early advice on a Data Protection Impact Assessment, which systematically evaluates risks to individuals.
- Independent advice on data flows, consent, deletion, service-provider agreements and international data transfers.
- Clear boundaries between advice, implementation and independent oversight; the controller retains its responsibilities.
- Pragmatic collaboration with an early-stage venture, reliable German-language contact and clear absence cover.
Experience that matters
- Demonstrated experience as an external data protection professional or in comparable accountable mandates.
- Experience with voice AI, sensitive conversational data or similarly demanding processing and impact assessments.
- Demonstrable expertise, independence, transparent handling of conflicts and clear communication.

A transparent engagement framework
This is a non-binding request for proposals for an external service. It is not a current employment offer, an engagement or a formal appointment.
Please include setup fees, monthly fee, included hours, separate impact-assessment work, minimum term and cancellation in your proposal. No approved role budget, particular start date, hours or minimum term is promised. Fees, scope, contracting party and any formal appointment will be agreed separately in writing, with appropriate compensation and following proposal review and a budget decision, before productive work. Proposal review and selection are carried out by people.
